Consulting. AI. IT. Events. Marketing.

Five disciplines where Mittelstand projects most often tip over. You book what you actually need – we pull in the rest from the network. You get one point of contact who carries the whole thing.

  • Consulting & Project Management

We sort the situation, hold all the strands together and bring projects to a close, instead of only conceiving them.

    • Strategy sparring & roadmaps for leadership teams
    • Project leadership from idea to clean handover
    • Coordinating the specialists from our network
    • Workshop facilitation & offsites, also sociocratic (e.g. HausWirtschaft)
    • Interim management & stand-in cover when things acutely jam
  • AI

We pull AI out of the hype and into daily operations – with use cases the Mittelstand can actually ship.

    • AI strategy and use-case roadmap for the Mittelstand
    • AI Competence Center: AICC build-out following our book's framework
    • Hands-on AI trainings for leadership and teams
    • Tool selection: ChatGPT, Claude, custom agents – what fits your context
    • Process automation with AI agents – introduced in measured doses, as we did at Peaceflow
  • IT

We move IT topics from the whiteboard into daily operations – pragmatic, no tool hype, no vendor lock-in.

    • IT strategy and digitalisation for mid-sized companies – like Kitale for educational institutions
    • CRM rollouts that actually get used afterwards
    • IT security audits and shadow-IT clean-up
    • Process automation with the toolchain that fits you
    • Architecture and tool selection for concrete use cases
    • Domain management: registration, DNS and migration without provider drama
  • Events

We design and curate formats that don't fizzle out after 90 minutes – from hands-on trainings to strategy offsites.

    • Hands-on AI trainings like the AI Superevent in Vienna
    • Strategy offsites and retreats with leadership teams
    • Format design and facilitation – including sociocratic (e.g. HausWirtschaft)
    • Event management: from idea to delivery
    • In-house workshops for AI, marketing and brand
  • Marketing

We build, sharpen and amplify brands in the Mittelstand – pragmatic, visible, with attitude.

    • Brand positioning with a clear stand-out story
    • Website projects: from wireframe to launch, without agency drama
    • Corporate-influencer programmes following our Inhouse-Influencer methodology
    • Content strategy for LinkedIn, Instagram and newsletters
    • Workshops for brand and communications offsites
What you want to know before we talk

The most common questions, answered briefly.

Answers to what comes up most often in our sparring conversations. If your question isn't here: jump into the 30-minute call.

  • What does a project with Degeler Consulting cost?

No hourly rates on the website, because every project is priced differently: a two-week AI workshop sits in the low five figures, a six-month CRM rollout in the low six figures. In the 30-minute sparring we clarify scope and send you a concrete quote within a week.

  • How long does a typical engagement run?

We work in short sprints of two to six weeks. A workshop block wraps in two weeks, a strategy phase in four to six weeks, a full implementation project (website launch, CRM rollout) in three to six months. We stay on it until it's live, no drop-off after the concept phase.

  • Do you only work in Vienna, or also in Germany and Switzerland?

Our base is Vienna, our reach is DACH-wide: Austria, Germany, Switzerland. Sparring sessions and workshops happen remotely or on-site, whichever the project needs. For on-site engagements in Germany or Switzerland, we travel in.

  • What company sizes is Degeler Consulting a fit for?

We specialise in the German-speaking Mittelstand: typically 20 to 500 employees, often family-owned or in their second growth phase. Too small for us: solo founders. Too big: large enterprises. Right between the two is where we operate.

  • What sets you apart from a classic management consultancy?

Three things: First, we end in execution, not in a slide deck. We build alongside you instead of just recommending. Second, you get one point of contact across all four disciplines instead of coordinating three different advisors. Third, no vendor lock-in: we recommend the tools that fit you, not the ones with commission deals.

  • Who does the work, Felix himself or junior consultants?

Felix is operationally on every project and leads the execution. For specialist topics we bring in vetted experts from our network: development, design, data migration, legal. What we don't do: a pyramid model where inexperienced juniors bill senior rates.

  • How does a first conversation work?

30 minutes, free of charge, bookable online. You describe what's stuck, we mirror back whether and how we can help. If it's a fit, we send a proposal with scope, timeline and investment within a week. If it isn't, we say so, usually with a pointer to who's a better match.

  • What happens once I accept your proposal?

Then we get going, no drawn-out preamble. You get one dedicated point of contact and we set a kickoff within a few days. In the kickoff we sort out access, responsibilities and the first milestone, then we work in two- to six-week sprints with regular updates until it's live. No weeks of onboarding, no waiting on a large team, we start with whatever has the biggest leverage.

  • Do you also do recruiting, HR or tax advisory?

No, we stay strictly within consulting, AI, IT, events and marketing. Recruiting, people development, tax, legal, and bookkeeping are not our field. If your project needs those, we point you to partners from our network.

  • How transparent are you about your own AI use?

Very. Felix measures his own AI footprint daily in energy, CO₂ and water – and publishes the dashboard live on the website. Anyone guiding companies through AI adoption should be able to answer the same question: do you know what your AI use costs? You can see the current state on the About page.
